A practicum is supervised work experience attached to a course or certificate, either on site or through a live placement. It is the clearest split between a certificate that includes practice and one earned through lessons and an exam, so it matters most in fields where employers ask for evidence you have worked. 101 Blockchains states a practicum. ACLS Certification Institute, ACLS Now, ACSM and Advanced Medical Certification do not.
