Core features

BuddyWise centers on home study with a social layer. Participants exchange tips, ask for help and motivate each other under the motto of studying like buddies. Popular subjects include bookkeeping basics within a wider top ten of favored courses. Quality assurance comes from ISO 9001 certification and the NRTO mark.

Background and ownership

BuddyWise is part of a widely known home study provider in the Netherlands. The parent organisation has a long history in home education and brings the same attention to teaching quality to BuddyWise. The business offers learners a wide mix of options, from language and hobby subjects to professional courses that can lead to recognised diplomas. Because the company puts teaching quality at the centre of its planning, each course is built with the learner's steady progress in mind.

How the approach sets it apart

Rather than working alone, learners are encouraged to take a course together with friends or with other participants in a shared online space. This group style makes it easier to keep going for people who find motivation simpler when others are studying the same subject at the same time. Learners can swap ideas, raise questions and help one another, which gives the experience a friendly, social feel. Shared study can feel less lonely than working through a course in isolation.

How does learning with study buddies work?+

Which company stands behind BuddyWise?+

BuddyWise is part of NHA, a provider of home studies. NHA brings more than 90 years of experience in home education, and BuddyWise draws on that same educational quality.

What quality marks does BuddyWise hold?+

BuddyWise is certified in conformity with ISO 9001 and meets strict quality standards. It also holds the NRTO quality mark, which signals attention to quality and professionalism.

Where are BuddyWise courses aimed?+

BuddyWise courses are set up for learners in the Netherlands, and the teaching is in Dutch. Students can take a course from home and work through the lessons online. Anyone who prefers paper can also request a printed version, so the format matches personal habits. The range is broad, from practical business subjects to hobby and language courses.

Who gets the most from studying with coursemates?+

Learners who like shared motivation tend to get the most from this format. People who want to ask questions, trade study tips and encourage each other during a course will find the online setting well matched to their needs. Can learners choose printed study guides?+

Learners can study from digital guides in the online learning environment, and some also choose a paper version of their course. Printed guides appeal to people who like to read on paper or make notes in the margins. The combination of online and paper study lets each learner pick the approach that feels most comfortable over a long course, which keeps the experience flexible.
