Our verdict
Coach Training Alliance is built for people who want a recognized coaching credential studied online, and its certificate fee of $0 means the credential costs nothing extra. The trade-off is the $3,199 starting price and an access window of 6 months, which suits committed learners more than casual browsers.

Pros and cons
Pros
- The certificate fee is $0, so the credential costs nothing extra on top of the program.
- The accreditation on record is icf, and the program issues completion and professional certificates.
- A money-back period of 14 days matches the tracked median of 14 days.
- A practicum, assessments and job support are built into the program rather than sold separately.
- Offline download is supported, so study does not depend on having a live connection.
Cons
- No free tier, so the $3,199 start is the only way into the material.
- The $3,199 start is far above DRCertifications at $19.99 and Academy for Health and Fitness at £25, so the $0 certificate fee does little to soften the entry cost.
- Access is limited to 6 months from enrolment, so a slow study pace runs into the deadline.
- Support runs on email and phone only, so help arrives by email or phone rather than live chat.
Who it suits
- People who want a coaching credential with recognized accreditation and no separate certificate charge.
- Coaches in the US who can study online and want a practicum and job support inside one program.
- Learners who can commit to a fixed study window and want a money-back period of 14 days to decide in.
Who should look elsewhere
- Anyone who wants to sample the field first: Hotmart lists entry at $0, while this program has no free tier.
- Buyers on a small budget: DRCertifications starts at $19.99 and Academy for Health and Fitness at £25, both far below the $3,199 start.
- Learners who want chat support, because support here runs on email and phone.
What you get free
There is no free tier here, so none of the certified coach program can be sampled before paying. The fallback is a money-back period of 14 days, which lines up with the median money-back window across tracked sites at 14 days and leaves some room to change your mind. In practice that is a decision window measured in days rather than weeks, which works for learners who already know coaching is the field they want and expect to move quickly.
Plans and prices
One price is published for the certified coach program, starting at $3,199, and the certificate fee is $0, so nothing extra is charged to issue the credential. The figure is an entry price for the program rather than a per month or per year rate, so there is no second figure to budget for at renewal. For scale, Hotmart lists entry at $0 and DRCertifications at $19.99, though those cover a different kind of purchase.
How it compares on our data
On our data the certified coach program ranks 1 of 47 brands on certificate fee, so the free certificate is the strongest result in that column. Entry price tells the other story: 216 of 220 on price from, which places Coach Training Alliance at the expensive end of the field. The overall score of 8.9 splits into 8.7 for cost, 8.7 for offer and 9.5 for trust.
Core features
Assessments are part of the certified coach program, so the work is checked rather than self marked, and offline download is supported for anyone studying away from a stable connection. Access opens for 6 months from the start of enrolment, which is the number to plan around: the material has to be worked through inside that window rather than at a pace of your own choosing. There is no free tier, so this is a pay to enter program, and the money-back period of 14 days is the only cushion attached to it.
The company behind it
Coach Training Alliance is based in the US and has been running since 2000, so this is an established operation rather than a new course listing. Support runs on email and phone, which means direct contact by email and phone with no live chat window. The company sits among curated platforms, the group that selects its own catalogue rather than opening it to outside sellers, and its subject area is business.

Frequently asked questions
What does the certified coach program cost?+
The certified coach program starts at $3,199. The certificate itself carries a fee of $0, so issuing the credential adds no extra charge to that figure. The published price is a single entry fee for the program rather than a per month or per year subscription, and the money-back period of 14 days applies to it.
Is there a free tier or a free trial?+
There is no free tier on the certified coach program, so nothing can be sampled before paying. The nearest thing to a trial is the money-back period of 14 days, which matches the median money-back window across tracked sites at 14 days. Anyone who wants to browse course material at no cost would do better starting with Hotmart at $0.
What certificate do I get and who accredits it?+
The program issues completion and professional certificates, and the accreditation on record is icf. That matters if you want a credential that clients or employers already recognize, since a plain completion certificate carries less weight in coaching work. The qualification sits at Level 1.
How long do I have to finish the program?+
The program runs 75 hours of material and access opens for 6 months from enrolment, so your study pace has to be planned against that window. That limit is the detail most likely to catch out someone who buys and then starts slowly, and it is worth settling the money before the first week rather than after.
Is there a practicum and are there assessments?+
The certified coach program includes a practicum, so there is practical client work alongside the study, and assessments are part of the work rather than something you can skip. A practicum matters in coaching because client hours are what a hiring coach asks about, and the 75 hours of study feeds directly into that requirement.
Can I study online and away from a connection?+
Delivery is online and offline download is supported, so lessons can be saved and worked through away from a connection. That suits anyone with an unreliable connection or a commute, though it also means the work happens alone rather than in a room with other trainees.
Who runs Coach Training Alliance and how do I reach them?+
Coach Training Alliance is headquartered in the US and has been operating since 2000, which is a long enough track record to judge a provider on. Support runs on email and phone, so questions go by email or phone rather than a live chat window, and phone contact suits anyone who prefers to talk a problem through.
Does the program help with finding coaching work?+
Job support is included, and the program pairs it with a practicum, so the practical side is not only theory. Together with the accreditation, that combination is what makes the $3,199 start easier to justify for someone aiming to coach professionally rather than to collect a hobby credential.
How does the price compare with cheaper certificate sites?+
Coach Training Alliance ranks 1 of 47 brands on certificate fee, so the free certificate is as strong as that column gets. Entry price tells a different story: DRCertifications lists $19.99 and Academy for Health and Fitness £25, both far under the $3,199 start here for a 75 hours program with a practicum.
