Pros and cons
ITTT
Pros
- The TEFL certification course at 120 hours bundles a practicum, tutor support and job support into fees of $249.
- Certificate types span completion, professional and university credit, and 2 university partners open routes beyond a completion certificate.
- Offline download is supported and assessments are included, so study continues on a slow connection and coursework is part of the price.
Cons
- The money back guarantee covers 3 days, against a 14 day median across the site, so a change of mind has very little room.
- There is no free tier, which means fees of $249 come before any sense of whether the course suits you.
- The entry price ranks 172 of 220, which places the starting figure toward the expensive end of the field.
TEFL.org
Pros
- Certificate fee of £0, so the qualification adds no cost beyond the course, and the fee ranks 1 of 47 across the brands compared.
- Tutor support, job support and assessments are all part of the paid course.
- Certificate types listed are completion and professional, covering completion and professional awards.
Cons
- No practicum, so anyone who needs supervised classroom hours alongside the theory has to look elsewhere.
- Offline download is not available, which matters for anyone revising without a reliable connection.
- Support runs through email, help centre and community, so no phone channel appears in the list.

Questions about each
ITTT
How much does the ITTT TEFL course cost?+
The ITTT TEFL certification course runs 120 hours and has fees of $249. That is a course fee rather than a monthly subscription, and the practicum, tutor support and job support sit inside it. Readers shopping at the low end can compare Hotmart, whose entry point is $0.
Is there a free tier or free trial?+
ITTT has no free tier, so there is nothing to sample before paying fees of $249. The only recourse is the money back guarantee of 3 days, which sits well below the 14 day median across the brands compared here. Anyone who needs a free start should weigh a platform that offers one.
TEFL.org
How much does the TEFL course cost at TEFL.org?+
The Premier Online TEFL course is a single purchase starting at £151.60, and the certificate fee is £0, so the qualification is covered inside that figure rather than bought as an extra at the end.
Can I try TEFL.org before paying?+
There is a free tier, so a taster course is open to anyone who wants to see the material first. Once you enroll on the paid course, a 14-day money back period gives a short window to change your mind.
