Pros and cons
Kaplan Test Prep
Pros
- One provider covers act, sat and gmat, so a student can switch exam without changing platform
- The SAT on-demand plan includes live classes, a free trial and an optional tutoring add-on on top of the self study material
- phone, chat and help centre means phone, chat and a help centre are all available for enrolled students
Cons
- The $199 entry point sits well above $49 and $12.99
- Only 4 full length tests on the SAT plan, and practice runs to 500, both low against the field
- Access is 6 months on the on-demand plan, so study time is fixed rather than open ended
Testprep Training
Pros
- Entry price of $12.99 sits well below Zebra Education at $49 and LSAT Lab at $65.
- A free tier and a free trial are both listed, so the material can be sampled before any spend.
- Tutor support and a team plan are both offered, which is unusual this close to the $12.99 entry point.
Cons
- Live classes are not part of the offer, so no scheduled teaching sits behind the practice material.
- Support runs on email only, so a phone line or live chat is not in the package.
- The exam fee is not included on the it course, so exam day costs sit on top of $12.99.

- Zebra Education, whose $49 entry point is lower if you already know your exam
- E2Language, which is built around language exams rather than the exams on act, sat and gmat
Testprep Training
Who it suits
- GMAT candidates testing the water before buying course packs, since the entry point is $12.99.
- Self-paced learners, as online is the only delivery mode listed and live classes are no.

Who should look elsewhere
- Anyone who wants live classes: E2Language teaches through live sessions, while Testprep Training lists live classes as no.

Kaplan Test Prep
How much does Kaplan Test Prep cost?+
Entry pricing on the SAT on-demand plan is $199, and the published exam pricing sits at sat: From $199. The money-back guarantee operates under defined terms rather than as an open refund, so check those before enrolling. Cheaper rivals start well below this at $49 and $12.99.
What is included in the SAT on-demand plan?+
The plan bundles 6 months of access with 500 practice questions and 4 full length tests, plus live classes. A free trial is available and a tutoring add-on can be added on top. Support runs on phone, chat and help centre for anyone who needs help mid study.
Testprep Training
What does Testprep Training cost to start?+
The entry point is $12.99 for a single GMAT practice exam, cheaper than Zebra Education at $49 and LSAT Lab at $65. Buying wider means a course pack or Pro Plan bundle, and those cost more than the practice exam alone, so scale your spend to the exams you actually sit.
What can I get without paying?+
A free tier is listed and a free trial is available as well, so you can sit a practice paper and open part of the catalogue before spending. The free side is a taster rather than the course: course packs sit well above the $12.99 entry point, and tutor support applies to what you buy.
