Pros and cons
Magoosh
Pros
- Covers act, gmat and gre under one provider, so a change of exam does not mean a change of platform
- A 7 day money back guarantee sits alongside a guaranteed score improvement on a prior GRE result
- Access runs 1 to 12 months, letting a test date decide the plan rather than the other way round
Cons
- Entry price of $149 sits well above $12.99 and $49, so short study windows cost more per month
- The 7 day refund window is shorter than the 30 day median in this category
- Only 6 full length tests ship, against a category median of 10.25
Testprep Training
Pros
- Entry price of $12.99 sits well below Zebra Education at $49 and LSAT Lab at $65.
- A free tier and a free trial are both listed, so the material can be sampled before any spend.
- Tutor support and a team plan are both offered, which is unusual this close to the $12.99 entry point.
Cons
- Live classes are not part of the offer, so no scheduled teaching sits behind the practice material.
- Support runs on email only, so a phone line or live chat is not in the package.
- The exam fee is not included on the it course, so exam day costs sit on top of $12.99.

- Candidates needing a heavy test battery, where Zebra Education starts at $49 for a different mix
Testprep Training
Who it suits
- GMAT candidates testing the water before buying course packs, since the entry point is $12.99.

Questions about each
Magoosh
How much does Magoosh cost and what access periods do I get?+
Magoosh starts at $149 for its shortest term, and access runs 1 to 12 months, so a test date rather than a monthly habit sets the length. Longer terms cost more in total but spread that cost over more months of study. Prices are quoted in US dollars and the company is registered in the US.
What does the guarantee actually cover?+
Two separate promises sit on the purchase. One is a 7 day money back guarantee with no questions asked, and the other guarantees a higher score on a previous GRE result, with a stated improvement of points on that result. The score promise is the reason Magoosh ranks as a higher score guarantee provider rather than a refund only offer.
Testprep Training
What does Testprep Training cost to start?+
The entry point is $12.99 for a single GMAT practice exam, cheaper than Zebra Education at $49 and LSAT Lab at $65. Buying wider means a course pack or Pro Plan bundle, and those cost more than the practice exam alone, so scale your spend to the exams you actually sit.
What can I get without paying?+
A free tier is listed and a free trial is available as well, so you can sit a practice paper and open part of the catalogue before spending. The free side is a taster rather than the course: course packs sit well above the $12.99 entry point, and tutor support applies to what you buy.
