Reuse and categories

The shop sorts its used stock into categories and subcategories, so shoppers can move from classic literature to contemporary fiction, or from film classics to cult series, without losing their way. The company frames secondhand buying as a way of giving culture a second life and of recycling items that people no longer use. Rare titles that are hard to find in new book shops also have a place in the selection, which suits readers who enjoy hunting for an older edition.

How condition is graded

Every used item carries one of four condition grades, running from as new through very good and good down to acceptable. The grade gives a clear picture of wear before a purchase, which helps shoppers judge whether an older copy suits their plans. Review takes place in the shop's own warehouse, where staff look closely at visual condition and signs of use before an item reaches the range. Lower grades are offered with honest descriptions of their wear. Shoppers can weigh grades across items to decide how much wear they are happy to accept.

Choosing between formats

Formats differ in ways that matter to collectors, so the range treats each medium separately. Film fans can pick between DVD and Blu ray editions, while music lovers choose from compact discs or vinyl albums. Games cover several generations of home consoles, which suits players who want to revisit older titles. Classic films, cult series and popular albums from many decades sit beside contemporary releases, giving buyers plenty of room to explore. Each format has its own audience, so the range keeps these groups easy to browse without mixing them up.
